LOGAN'S STATUS:  This week was Logan's 6 week checkup.  They took all sorts of measurements including his head, length, and weight.   He continues to gain weight steadily.  On Tuesday, Sept. 23 he was 4.38kg or 9lbs11oz (9lbs14oz on Friday).  Both the midwife and the doctor commented that Logan is a long/thin type baby and suggested that he'll be quite tall.  We'll see!

 

Since he's still a bit jaundiced, the midwife suggested we come in to see the pediatrician on Friday.  At Friday's appointment (Sept. 26th), Logan checked out just fine, though some blood was taken just to double check that his yellowy color did not indicate a problem with his hemoglobin or liver functions.  The doctor asked if jaundiced babies run in our family.  I didn't think so, but let me know if we all were yellow!  Again, it was nothing to be concerned about.  Like with his hips, they are just being overly careful.

 

GETTING TO KNOW ALICE SPRINGS:  Logan and Liesl met up with friends for their weekly coffee at the Date Farm on Friday.  Liesl likes her decaf cappuccino.  Logan does too, hold the coffee!
