Liesl's mid-semester break is almost over, but instead of buckling down to do work, she spent the day hiking with friends!  We took a 4wd track into John Hayes Rockhole.  There is always water in these ponds, so it's home to lots of wild critters.  From there we continued on to Trephina Gorge.  Here are a few shots from our day out!

to John Hayes Rockhole for an outing.

You can walk along the stone cliffs and look at

the chain of ponds back behind.

The wildest critter of 'em all!!

Trephina Gorge is about 10km from John Hayes Rockhole.  We hiked into the gorge and saw quite a bit of wild life--several kangaroo and a bunch of lizards!

White ghost gum trees are pretty impressive against the red rocks!
